Dr. David Robinson is a stand-up comedian based in Los Angeles who doesn't do jokes along the lines of "Hey, ever been on the 405? I have a girlfriend! Airplanes are crazy!" though he has occasionally written jokes about girlfriends and airplanes. In the world of L.A. comedy, this is the equivalent of Gonzo moving to Bombay in order to become a movie star.

He is an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church, where he also obtained an honorary doctorate of divinity and the title of Universal Rabbi.
He believes that passive aggression is an art. For example, why get an unlisted phone number when you can just refuse to answer it when it rings.
He dies a little bit inside when he watches or reads TMZ. This doesn't seem to be working quickly enough, so he smokes a pack a day.
He harbors a not so secret crush on the dearly departed RJR/Nabisco . . . I mean, Oreos and smokes . . . what's not to love?
His heart is drawn to unobtainable women.
Two songs he wrote were recorded by a punk band in the mid-80's.
He believes that you can hate the world enough to want to make it a better place.
His game show batting average is .500, and if he wins on the next game show he appears on, he may have to stop doing game shows, merely to maintain an average of .666 because, really, how cool would that be?
